October has proven to be a busy month for Floral Philanthropy, as several Winnipeg event organizers donated the flowers from their evening to bring joy and happiness to others. Three bookings were been scheduled in October, and another is already planned for November.  This past Thanksgiving weekend, one bridal party not only enjoyed their beautiful flowers during the wedding and reception; but because of their generosity, these same flowers were delivered throughout the city and included recipients such as the Lions Manor, Riverview Health Centre, Shaftesbury Park Retirement Residence and Rossbrook House, just to name a few. Similarly, 500 pink roses were donated by the Guardian Angel Benefit for Women’s Cancer on Tuesday, October 18 and distributed in vases to the Women`s Pavilion, CancerCare Manitoba, St. Boniface Hospital Cancer Centre, Deer Lodge Centre and many others.

The concept of passing good things on seems to be catching on.  By giving a tax receiptable donation for this service of $100 or more to Winnipeg Harvest (1085 Winnipeg Avenue, R3E 0S2); Winnipeggers are spreading great cheer.  These floral pick-me-ups allow the donors to `blitz` the city with flowers, as well as help support many people in our community forced to use a Food Bank.  This gift not only warms hearts, spirits and minds; but tummies too!!

An investment firm hosting a client dinner at the Fairmont on Thursday, was our last booking for October. Our White Brigade (all three volunteer transport vans are white ) were there to deliver more beautiful flowers!!!
